Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission’s compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

Author Guidelines

Authors shall be allowed to submit only one manuscript per journal issue. The research that will be published will be multi-disciplinary as well as interdisciplinary in nature. The submitted manuscripts will be evaluated on the basis of the criteria originality, contribution to knowledge, methodological approach in the context of WEE.

Submission guidelines
  • Style and format – Word document
  • Length – not more than 10,000 words
  • Font – strand font size – Times New Roman
  • Headings – limit manuscript sections and sub-sections to 3 heading levels
  • Layout and spacing – manuscripts must be double spaced
  • Page and line numbers – include page numbers and line numbers in the manuscript
  • Language – Manuscripts must be submitted in English
  • Reference style – APA
Criteria for publication
  • Results of original research
  • Results of reports that have not been published elsewhere
  • Reviews 
Peer Review Process

A double blind peer review process will be undertaken so as to ensure the required scientific publication process and the dissemination of sound science is achieved. 

Monitoring and Evaluation

The operationalization and effectiveness of WEE Journal will be monitored periodically through surveys as well as analysis of the trend and nature of research manuscripts published. The Division of Research, Innovation and Outreach shall undertake the task of Monitoring and Evaluation.
